Whilst it can be easy to talk about making time for business strategy and planning, we talk less about the real consequences of running out of time.
On Monday last week, I lost a good mate, a father of three. For me time has run out.
I can’t talk to him
I can’t see him
We can’t have fun
I am devastated that he is no longer…
As a result I asked myself a critical question.
“What if I had done all the activities that I set out to do BUT didn’t get to do because I was:
- Too scared about not getting it right,
- Didn’t know how to do it,
- Was too busy doing daily work and didn’t make the time?
I asked myself, what would I have achieved by now, and what would I be doing differently?
What would you do differently?
Posing this question to you:
“What would you achieve if you made time to develop your practice over the next 6 months, what would your practice look like?”
- Would your service offering be the same?
- Would you increase your average fee per client?
- How engaged & committed would your team be in finding, winning and doing work?
- What would you be doing (or not doing)?
As I reflect on losing my mate, it seems even more important to make stuff happen now.
So what’s stopping you?
Take a moment NOW, grab a pen and answer this:
“What is ONE thing that you have been putting off that will achieve immediate growth in your client base or service offering?”
If you don’t have something in mind already, consider this question:
“What is the one thing that if implemented now, will achieve growth in your client’s average fee?”
Lessons in life usually come through adversity, however results only come through taking direct action.
If you take the time to answer these questions now, and schedule in time over the next week to take direct action, I guarantee that the results you want are achievable.
